Bobbi Rae Lowe

November 29, 1985 - April 12, 2023

Her Life...

Bobbi was born in Springfield on November 29, 1985 to Pammy Sue McGee and William (Charlene) Lowe Sr., both of Springfield. She attended school in Rochester, IL. Bobbi was a woman of many professions, including a Business Owner, Home Health Aide, Unit Clerk at St. John's ER, and a Home Health Supervisor for the Neurology Division in Sarasota, FL.

She had a wide range of hobbies, which included Kingdom work, baking, planting, and spending time with her boys. She loved Chicago, including the Chicago Cubs, Bears, and visiting the city whenever she got a chance to go.  She loved the energy and excitement of city life but found her peace in thunderstorms, ocean waves, and a good bonfire with family and friends. She loved hip hop and battle rap, worship music, and vintage artists like Sinatra. Yes, her personality was as unique and eclectic as her interests.

Bobbi's was best described as someone who loved from the center of who she was. She was passionate about her love for Jesus, and her three boys. To know her was to have a friend in her. Bobbi was loyal, kind, incredibly smart, and her sarcastic humor was parallel to none.

She is joined in heaven with her infant daughter Leah and her brother Scott. Her legacy lives on in her children, Elijah Kusturin of Elmhurst, IL and Malachi and Zion Kusturin of Peoria.  Her presence is missed by her siblings, William (Ashley) Lowe Jr. of Springfield, Dawn Lowe of Bloomington, Jason (Karina) McGee of Sherman, Austin Lowe of Springfield and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Her family...

Bobbi was many things to many people, a daughter, sister, auntie, cousin, and best friend...but her most important role in her life was as a mom. She loved being mom to her three boys: Elijah, Malachi, and Zion.  She genuinely enjoyed her role as a "boy mom" and took her role of raising them to be God-fearing young men very seriously. Her manicured nails never stopped her from digging in dirt for worms, or holding an impromptu science class in her front yard when a frog was discovered.

The boys were taught to do everything with a "spirit of excellence" and she was always acknowledging their God-given gifts, unique spirit, and Kingdom centered purpose.  She was a very engaged Auntie and loved spending time with her nieces and great-nephews.  As her boys continued to grow and make friends, she quickly encompassed the title of Mom-Two to many other children: Michael, Milan, JJ, Priscilla, and Anthony to name a few.

Her children brought her immense pride and fueled her passion to leave a lasting impact on the world.

Her passion...

For over twenty years Bobbi's heart was with those who were experiencing homelessness. She ran countless winter drives, collections of various kinds, and even moved to another state with the hope of setting up a ranch to provide food, shelter, and work opportunities. She always had a Christ fueled passion for helping the homeless community.

When Bobbi passed on in April of 2023 it became our mission to continue her passion. Honoring her legacy and continuing to plant seeds of hope and encouragement in the lives of others. Bobbi's Blessing is a grass roots effort to further this mission by collecting items throughout the year and on her birthday, distributing these Blessing bags to the homeless community.

Bobbi's Blessing will specifically be supporting Acts:29 Ministries, Helping Hands, and Contact Ministries.
